    • Familiarizing with the tools: Virtuoso, Spectre and Viva
    • Finding n2p ratio at different corners and voltage
    • Draw basic gates and simulate them
    • RC circuit study, Transistor basics study

Week 3

  • Theory
    • Spice stimulus and measurement writing
    • Basic Gates Functionality and design requirements
  • Lab
    • Design different types of basic gates and simulate them, write measurements to find delay and transition time for every input switching combination.

Week 4

  • Theory
    • Standard cell characterization - Timing Arcs/Timing Sense/Unatenes...
  • Lab
    • Getting to know the characterization tool

Week 5

  • Theory
    • Power/Leakage/Input Cap/Noise/IV curve Characterization
    • Self timing path design
  • Lab
    • Setting up a basic timing char with the char tool
    • Setting up power/Leakage char with the simulator

Week 6

    • CCS Char
  • Lab
    • Setting up a basic CCS char with the char tool

Week 7
